CCD2 (Directive 2023/2225): what changes for your SECCI on 20 November 2026
On 20 November 2026, Directive (EU) 2023/2225 ("CCD2") replaces the 2008 Consumer Credit Directive (2008/48/EC) across the EU. It expands scope (crowdfunding credit, BNPL, small-sum credit), tightens creditworthiness assessment, and updates the SECCI (Standard European Consumer Credit Information) form and APRC calculation assumptions.
Key changes
- New SECCI template layout and mandatory content.
- Updated APRC assumptions in Annex III (replacing Annex I of 2008/48/EC).
- Broader scope: BNPL, crowdfunding, credit up to EUR 100 000.
- Enhanced creditworthiness assessment and responsible lending duties.
